Ant Group’s LingGuang Hits 1M Downloads in 4 Days

Ant Group’s new multimodal AI assistant, LingGuang, surpassed 1 million downloads in four days. The AI tool generates code-driven outputs, 3D models, maps, animations, programs, and real-time video insights, positioning it as a major new player in the global AI race.

Ant Group launched LingGuang, a next-generation multimodal AI assistant and the first of its kind in China to interact with users through code-driven outputs. The app quickly amassed over 1 million downloads in just four days.

This milestone means LingGuang is a key player worth following in the quickly evolving global AI race. As a reference, Sora reached 1 million downloads in five days—already faster than ChatGPT—while DeepSeek reached the same milestone in about ten days after launch.

Equipped with the capability to understand and produce language, image, voice and data, LingGuang delivers precise, structured responses to complex queries through 3D models, audio clips, charts, animations, interactive maps, and even immediately generated programs like a food calorie calculator, in addition to traditional text-based conversation.

Designed around three key features, LingGuang aims to make complex knowledge simpler and more intuitive, transforming how users access information and interact with AI tools. Here’s a video showing how it works: https://x.com/AntGroup/status/1990701048130896114?s=20

Fast Research: LingGuang responds to user questions or keywords with dynamic, multimodal content, making research on any topic clearer and more engaging. Its 3D digital modeling capability transcends traditional 2D limitations, allowing users to explore and interact with subjects ranging from the Pyramids to Tyrannosaurus rex. Generative illustrations turn abstract concepts, such as quantum entanglement or economic principles, into intuitive visuals or animations. Interactive maps further help users plan travel routes or discover restaurants with ease.

Flash Programs: Leveraging its native AI coding capability, LingGuang lets users create personalized, interactive flash programs using simple natural language prompts. Whether for fitness tracking, trip planning, healthy recipes, personal financial management, or shopping suggestions, LingGuang can instantly build and run custom flash programs directly within the conversation, in as little as 30 seconds. This feature marks the industry’s first general-purpose AI tool that empowers non-technical users to develop functional programs effortlessly.

AGI Camera: LingGuang provides real-time understanding of complex scenes and dynamic footage captured by users, delivering contextual insights and enabling on-the-fly editing or generation of images and videos through commands.

At its core, LingGuang automatically decomposes user queries into task frameworks and processes tasks across different knowledge domains and modalities in parallel. Combined with the native AI coding capability, this modular approach ensures logical rigor while enabling diverse outputs—from 3D animations to dynamic charts—all delivered in a clean, minimalist style.

LingGuang is now available for download on the Apple App Store and major Android app stores, and accessible via the web at www.lingguang.com.
