Two flagship KAFD restaurants, Benoit and Il Baretto, earn MICHELIN Guide recognition, highlighting Riyadh’s growing culinary scene and the district’s commitment to world-class dining experiences as part of its Vision 2030 transformation.
The King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), Riyadh’s premier business and lifestyle destination, is proud to announce that two of its flagship restaurants, Benoit and Il Baretto, have been added to the MICHELIN Guide’s latest wave of recommendations for Riyadh. The inclusion marks another milestone for KAFD as a growing culinary hub, highlighting the district’s expanding portfolio of world-class dining experiences.
MICHELIN is one of the world’s most respected restaurant guides, known for its rigorous evaluation standards. While MICHELIN star awards are its highest distinctions, being listed as a “MICHELIN-recommended restaurant” is a significant international recognition, signifying consistent quality, skillful execution, and a dining experience that surpasses the market standard.
As Riyadh continues its transformation into a global cultural and lifestyle capital in line with Vision 2030, KAFD has emerged as a destination where exceptional dining, elevated lifestyle, and architectural excellence come together. The recognition of both Benoit and Il Baretto reflects not only the talent of the restaurants’ culinary teams but also the district’s commitment to attracting and nurturing outstanding food and beverage experiences.
Sultan Al-Obaida, Chief Commercial Officer at KAFD, said: “The inclusion of Benoit and Il Barretto in the MICHELIN Guide reflects the quality and diversity of dining experiences now taking shape across KAFD. As Riyadh becomes an international destination for culture, cuisine, and lifestyle, we are proud that KAFD continues to deliver experiences that resonate with all diners while celebrating the creativity and ambition shaping the Kingdom today.”
Benoit, the Alain Ducasse bistro located on the Financial Plaza, brings classic French dining to the district. The restaurant features traditional dishes such as escargot, pâté en croûte and soufflé au chocolat, complemented by subtle Middle Eastern influences including Camel Rossini and lamb kafta. Its interiors reflect a blend of Parisian charm and the contemporary design language of KAFD.
Il Barretto offers a refined Italian dining experience. Its menu features gnocchi alla Sorrentina, veal chop alla Milanese and the signature Amalfi lemon soufflé. The warm Italian ambiance and attentive service make it a notable choice for both business dining and leisure.
With its growing mix of signature restaurants, cafés, and fine-dining concepts, KAFD is becoming a cornerstone of Riyadh’s dining scene, offering flavors from around the world within an integrated, walkable, design-led urban environment.
